About the Workshop:

In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore the fundamental techniques of wax carving. Under the guidance of a local artisan with over a decade of experience, you'll learn the intricate process of transforming raw wax into works of wearable pieces. You will be given the option of creating a custom ring or pendant in wax. All materials and tools required are included in the cost of this workshop, excluding metal casting and finishing costs. At the closing of the workshop, the finished carving is weighed to determine the cost of the piece casted in the metal of your choice.

This course is open to beginners- participants will be provided with an information packet outlining the techniques covered, tool glossary, and other pertinent details, should they wish to further explore wax carving beyond this workshop!

This is a skill based workshop, you will leave the day having finished a wax model and with knowledge on how to properly prepare a piece for casting. At the end of the session, participants can choose to leave their pieces to be cast by Lizz, or they can continue working the piece independently and will be provided with the info for a casting house that can cast the and finish the piece at their convenience.
